Barry M Love

After hairdresses yesterday I popped into town just to have a little wonder around and see whats new in stores, I ended up in Superdrug since I was on a mission on finding a nice bright orange nail polish, I have been wanting an orange shade for a while, I don't really have any orange nail paint in my collection and I've been liking bright colours lately so I've been in need of one that would stand out.

I came across this Gelly-Hi Shine nail paint in Mango what is the coincidence that I was thinking about eating a mango at the time of searching for an orange nail paint and I found one thats called Mango? I like that this colour is bright like an neon shade and it'll be perfect to wear for Spring and Summer.

The second purchase is a basecoat, topcoat and nail hardener, I only got this because I run out of my topcoat polish and I was in need of a new one, I'll have to try this one out and see if it does what it says on the bottle. I purchased both for £6 which is a pretty good deal.

What is your favourite nail colour for Spring?

And it begins…

Its been a year and half since I last my hair cut, the last time I did I went for a short do for the summer and since I was starting university I wanted something new, I'm the type of person that if I have short hair I want to grow it out and have it long but then once I have long hair I want to cut it short and do something different, luckily my hair can grow at an average-fast paste which I'm quite lucky about.

This time around I wanted to go for short do just on the shoulders at the moment, I still want length which is enough for me to tie it back and do cute stylings with it. It feels strange having it short, I pass my fingers through it and its weird not having my long hair there, but my head and hair feels much lighter after having it cut, specially since I had a lot of split and damaged ends that needed a cut.

I got my haircut in the same place as I got my acrylic nails done Top Tips in Wellingborough, I never had my haircut by them before so I was quite worried about getting it cut somewhere new, the girl did a good job with it all though I felt like she didn't really do much of the same with the picture I had shown her (pic) but still did a good job.

I won't be stopping with just a haircut I will be going lighter with my hair and maybe going just a bit shorter for the Summer but I'll be keeping you posted with it.

Whats your favourite thing to do with styling your hair?

The first lipsticks I ever bought.

Left - right: Pink Malllow & Crimson from Natural Collection

I thought I would share with you the first ever lipsticks I bought and still to this day have, I use to always wear mums lipsticks and play around with them from a young age but when I started wearing makeup around the age of 13/14 I bought my first ever lipstick with pocket money. 7/8 years later I still have them with me.

I bought both from Natural Collection the first one was the classic red and I bought this when I need a red lipstick for my halloween costume, and I got some use out of it, Even to this day I will wear the lipstick.

The second one I bought was a nude pink, I remember browsing around boots again and came across this nude pinkish and being the girly girl I was back then I knew I had to get it, I did wear it a lot when I first got it, I remember I would wear it on days I didn't wear too much makeup.

Both lipstick are moisturising and light on the lips. Hope you enjoyed todays post as much as I did remembering the old days.

Acrylic Nails

I've been wanting to get Acrylics for some time now, since my nails are always breaking at work and not as strong as they used to be.
Since I had nothing to do on my break today I thought I'd go and book an appointment to get them done, luckily they were free and got it done there.
They feel so comfortable but I'll do an update on them over the weekend to see how they feel and how good they are.

Productive Day

Today I thought it was time to do some cleaning and organising, I haven't cleaned my makeup brushes in a long time which is bad I know, I've been so busy with work and Ill that I didn't have time to clean my brushes, since I'm now much better and got some spare time I thought I'd clean my brushes so my skin doesn't break out any more. If you want to know how I clean my brushes you can here.

I also cleaned my room and desk area since it got a bit out of hand with magazine/makeup every where, it looked like a tornado came by. I also catched up with reading the new Vogue and Glamour magazine while on my break.

10 days into daily post and its been going great, so far I haven't missed any days which I'm happy about, its been motivating me to keep posting and not slack on this little blog. Have you been enjoying the daily post?

Just another Haul

My sleek delivery came on Saturday so I've had Sunday to use them before writing a post without giving you a small review. While I was out on Sunday I popped into Miss Selfrige to check their sale and look at the jewellery while out with the family and yup you've guessed it I bought some stuff I couldn't resist.

I came across a set of finger and midi rings that I just adored, I've been looking for a set of rings similar to this for quiet some time now and finally I found it when I wasn't looking for it. I bought the rings for £14.50 I think I got about £2 something off with student discount. I also bought a neckless that was on sale for £3.50 it was £7.50 which was a bargain.

The lipstick I got from Sleek is in the shade Liqueur, its a sheen nude champagne pink, its highly pigmented and keeps the lips soft. I also got a blusher from Sleek in the shade Flushed the camera shows that its quiet light but in reality its a maroon tone, used this on Sunday I only had 2 apply it twice morning and evening, it went great which the Liqueur lipstick.

Hope you enjoyed today's post. Thanks for reading x

Decisions Decision

sources
It's been 4 an half months since I made the decision of taking a 'Gap Year', I'll be truthful and say that I actually wasn't taking a gap year out but instead I quit university because I felt like it wasn't for me, there's more to it than that of course but I won't go into details just yet but I will in the future.

I made the decision to do a part time course where I feel like I'll get more out of it than I would at university and also I won't have to pay thousands for a degree that doesn't teach you well enough in my opinion. I'm still sticking with doing something in Fashion, the course I'll be doing is the tailoring side where I feel I need to concentrate on as I never been so good at that side of Fashion, the course starts from February to June only 2 days in the week it'll gives me a chance to work and have days to concentrate with course work, the course is in London which I'm excited for, but I won't lie thought I am kinda scared to official move out by myself but luckily I know a few people in London so it won't be so bad.

I'll keep you lovelies posted with the whole moving and course once things are sorted for me. I will also do a university post of what happened and all the crazy thing that went into it once I feel like I'm ready to talk about things and have the time to actually sit down and write.

Online Shopping Addiction

Since I've been slacking on blogging lately I thought I'd set myself a challenge to do small posts everyday for the rest of the month. I did something similar to this back in June last year where I'd post a photo everyday of something representing that specific month, this time around I will be posting for 31 days it'll include what I've been up to everyday and will include regular beauty/fashion posts. If you do like to check out last years challenge you can here. Lets get started...

I am the worst when it comes to shopping, I will admit I have a serious addiction to buying things when I don't have the need to do it. As I was going into town for a quick trip to the bank I thought I might as well put some money in my account for when I need to get something, while on my break from work I mange to browse the web, finding my self on the Sleek website. I saw a blusher and lipstick that I wanted to get for a while but hadn't had the money for it (until now) it should get around Friday/Saturday (hopefully) so watch out for a haul post.

I'm a huge fan of Sleek makeup, I think I might have to do a post with my favourite pallets from Sleek, whats your favourite makeup from sleek?

That has been pretty much my day online window shopping and working. Have you set yourself a challenge lately?

See you tomorrow x
