Last Weekend at the University Northampton

It's really sad that I'm leaving Northampton University, I've had a great year, I've met some wonderful people who I'll miss very much, I'm going to miss all the memories and the great laughters I had with everyone, specially my flat mates even though we had our little arguments we all still became great friends, I'm never going to forget the pranks that I pulled and the pranks that people done to me, I've learnt so much from, them they taught me how be confident in myself, how to have fun and not take my self too seriously. I love our weird and random conversations that even thinking about them right now still makes me laugh (laughing at the memories right now).
I'm so grateful to have the chance to study at the University of Northampton, its taught me so much and I learnt new things and helped me gain skills in making shoes and accessories which was fun even though at times I didn't really enjoy it, I still appreciate learning new things (thats life for you).

Since it's my last weekend as a student in Northampton, two of my flat mates and myself decided to go into town to get so much needed dinner at Wetherspoons, I ended up getting myself a dessert instead as I ate before making this plan, I had a brownie and ice cream dessert (It was that good I don't remember what its called, apologies) while my flat mates had a Curry and Burger and Chips.
After that lovely meal, we headed of to find the fair that's on in Northampton at the moment. All the rides are a pound each which is great when you're a student and poor (sigh), It was a shame that it shut at ten (pm) which was a real shame because you couldn't stay any later than that and have any fun, but we still managed to squish some fun in the little time we had while everything was closing up.

We ended up going two nights in a row to the fair as my flat mate really wanted to win a tiger which didn't happen due to him losing all 3/4 rounds.

Well Deserve hot chocolate.
After the fair we stopped at ASDA to get some cream and marshmallows to go with our much need Hot Chocolate.

I had such a great time this weekend with them, it's strange how we all came to university on the same day and now we all leaving at different times and going our separate ways, it's really nice that i'll be keeping in touch with many people and knowing that they'll be coming to visit me in South Essex is great. I just hope I have the best time in South Essex and meet great people like I have here.

I'm ready for a new begging in my life and ready to learn new things and just enjoy life as it comes.

Busy Weekend

On saturday I went on a girls night with all the college friends that I haven't seen since we all left for University, It was really nice seeing everyone again and having so many laugh specially with my great friend whom I haven't seen in so long we just gossiped away and laughed at so many jokes. It was also nice to see one of a friend whom I'll be going to University with in September, I can definitely say she was excited about it ahaha. (she also said she had a dream about us being at university together, she can see the future)...

I definitely forgot how expensive it is to go on a night out in Oxford compared to Northampton, it was a massive shock paying for a drink that cost more than £3 when I'd normally pay just a little over a pound. But other than that it was nice being back in Oxford and go out and see old faces and places too. I also went out with my two great friends which was really nice.

(I wasn't drunk, I promise)

The next day (Sunday) I had to go to my little nephews christening in the morning, which was really hard to get up for after only having a couple hours sleep, but it was really nice just seeing all the family whom I haven't actually seen since last summer, as I've been away. I can definitely say my cousins are a bad influence involving alcohol to every drink I had specially the strong Poncha (Portuguese alcoholic drink) It was the strongest drink I've ever had, but it was nice having a chat with two of my cousins who both been to university and they helped me understand more about university and where I should definitly go, they gave me an idea on what I should do. It was nice that they didn't actually judge me for any decision I was making involving university. But other than that it was nice seeing my aunt who here in England on holiday for a week, made me realize that I need to go back to Madeira and see family has its been too long. I cant wait for another family event like this that include all the family coming together and having so much laughs and chit chats (as we do). I specially cant wait for summer as I got a lot planned with my family, specially the cousins and the brother.

The Milkmaid Braid

Having long hair can be a struggle, your hair starts getting in the way and then you start thinking if you should cut it or not, instead of thinking that I browsed online at different hairstyles I could do with my long hair instead of having it on the usual bun or having it straight I wanted to make more of an effort. I came across Khloe Kardashian Instagram and saw that she had done the milkmaid braid, and I had to give it ago.

All you need to do is:
- Part your hair through the middle.
- Do two braids on each side.
- Take one side of the braid and wrap it over the top of your head and grip safely
- Do the same on the other side
You could make it loose or tight depending on how you'd like to make the hairstyle look. Don't be afraid on using a lot of kirby grips/ bobby pins.

Easter Weekend

This weekend has been in all about seeing close friends and relative that I haven't seen for a while.
On Saturday I met the girls in town for a nice catch up on what I've missed since I've been away at University, after some well deserved coffee we decided to visit the sweet shop on the high st since I never been and the girls always seem to talk about it, we thought we had to go and try it out.
As I walked into Mr Simms Olde Sweet Shoppe I felt like the biggest kid in a shop full of sweets, it really did feel like I was in a 'Willy Wonka Land'. It was amazing not going to lie, if you've never been I definitely recommend people who haven't been to go and check Mr Simms Olde Sweet Shoppe, warning as soon as you walk through the doors you would want to buy everything you see and you're not going to want to leave the shop.
It really did bring back memories from when I was little and I would go and buy chocolate with the money my grandpa gave me, I will for sure be going back there.

Heres so pictures from the Sweet Shop:

I loved that they had a smiley face lollypop. How awesome is that?

I spent Easter Sunday with most of my family which was really nice since I haven't seen some in a few weeks, and I got to see my gorgeous little cousin and my niece.

Hope you guys enjoy the blog, Happy Easter and thanks for reading, and follow me.
