Strawberry Picking

This week I went back home (Oxford) to start packing my room as I won't have any time to do it while I'm in the new place and working, but before I started any packing my self and my family went to pick some strawberry's at the farm as we always do.

 So many to choice from.

It was such a nice sunny day spent picking strawberry's and catching up with family that I haven't seen for a while.

My top 5 tips to Healthy Hair

I was the worst to taking care of my hair, never used heat protection when I’d blow dry or straighten my hair and I pretty much always dyed my hair so you can imagine how bad my hair used to be.

I used to have long hair down to my rips but due to so much dying, bleaching and straightening I had to make the decision of going short to get rid of so much damaged hair. Since I got my hair cut and got it dip dyed at the hairdressers I knew I had to take care of my hair if I ever wanted to grow it out again, that’s when I decided to cut down on a lot of things that made my hair so damaged. So here’s 5 tips that made my hair healthy.

Tip 1:
Cutting down on Heat, I used to straighten my hair everyday for school, college and university but now I pretty much straighten my hair once or twice a week, mainly when I was going out with some where other than that it’d be natural.

Tip 2:
Brushing your hair before showering. I never used to do this, I would always just go straight into the shower and put a lot of conditioner and my hair would fall out but since brushing my hair before it doesn’t fall out as much.

Tip 3:
Using heat protection. This will help with the split ends and also help stop you getting damaged hair, This has improved how my hair looks now, it has stopped my hair getting so damaged.

Tip 4:
Try not tie hair as much. By tying your hair up will pull at your hair, making your hair break and fall. I way I put my hair up is i get two bobby pins and attach them onto the hairband on each side, I then place on of the pins onto my hair and wrap the hairband around the pony tail and pin the second bobby pin into the hair, (I am terrible at explaining this so heres a youtube video to show you link).

Tip 5:
Getting your ends trimmed, as much as you don't want to get a your ends trimmed the more damage it'll be and it will show, just getting an inch off will help get rid of split ends and help your hair grow much faster, even if you do it yourself or get someone to do if for you, a small about will help.

I wanted to share what worked for me, you all will know those tips I'm sure. Let me know what other tips you have, Would love to know and try some.

Starting from Scratch

Last week I posted that I moved out of halls (if you haven't seen it then you here). I moved back home but temporally as my self and my family are moving to a new City as dads got his own business, which explains why I haven't blogged as much.

Last week I went with dad to the new business, been working with him and helping him out with a couple of things at the shop, we haven't entirely move to the new place, we are officially leaving next month once mum and brother finish college and work. We haven't had a huge move since I came to England over 12 years ago, so this is a huge move. Once I have settled in I will do an update post of this one to let you all know how things are going.

So until I have internet that works I will only be able to post 3 times a week but a soon as I've settled in the new place I will start with blogging for 6 days a week, make sure to follow so you can keep up to date with My Blog and also follow me on Twitter too.

Style Crush Monday: Kylie Jenner

If I had to pick out all of the Kardashian-Jenner girls I would pick Kylie Jenner, I like that she has more of an edgy style than her sisters, but she can glamour herself up.

If I'm looking for some inspiration when I go shopping I always tend to check Kylie's for some style inspiration, mainly for the edgy side, I like getting dressed up and making the effort but I also have to days where I want to have a edgy side.

Who's your style crush?

How To Shop Wisely - A Shopping Guide

I think most girls will agree with me when I say that a simple run to town can turn into a shopping spree, specially when theres sales and offers in shop windows, were like a magnet being attracted to it. Being a student is difficult when you have a shopping addiction and your broke.
I have listed 3 points to help with shopping wisely and only buying what you need.

1. Choice your shopping friend/partner wisely, if you do end up going with a friend who's a shopaholic I guaranty you will buy everything you see, and it can do some bad damage to your bank account, I do this all the time, I'm a shopaholic so when my friend want to go shopping I might suggest some stuff and they'll go and buy it them selfs and they'll do the same to me. I suggest go buy yourself if you need to get new clothes for a holiday, party or anything, its always best to go by yourself so your not influenced by someone else.

2. Having a bank card with you at all times can be tempting specially when your doing a quick small trip into town. I suggest having the right amount of cash that you need and leaving your bank card at home, this will help you with the temptation you'd get to buy something you don't need. I usually give my bank card to my mum or dad when I know I'll get tempted to get some new clothes. But being at university by yourself can be quiet hard leaving your bank card at home. So remember to have cash with you to make life a little easier.

3. One thing I tend to do that puts me off shopping some time is, 'how may hours work would it take to repay this?' I always do this when it comes to unplanned shopping trips.

If you have any tips for shopping guides please share, always up for ways to stop spending.

Moved out of Halls

I went back to university on Friday to pack my intire room ready to move out Saturday night, it was so stressful trying to make everything by yourself without any help and being on my own in the flat didn't help either as I ended up getting bored half way through packing, but I had Netflix to keep my compony.

I can't believe my first year is over, it went past so quick, it still feels like yesterday when I moved in. Its going to be sad not living and seeing everyone at uni, going to miss all the banter and craziness that went out there. It's was weird seeing the intire room empty without my things being there, it reminded me of when I moved out of halls in Northampton, brought back many memories. I kept finding things from night outs that I kept as a reminder from Freshers Week.

It's going to be weird not going back to Essex to study in September, but I'm excited for having a year out of education to do what I want and just concentrate on some exciting things I have planned.

I hope everyone has had a good weekend, thanks for reading x

Currently Loving this Week #1

I thought of doing a weekly Currently Loving this Week post every Saturday or 3 things I have been loving that week, its a mixture of thing from beauty, books, films etc. So here whats I'm been loving this week.

Yves Saint Laurent Foundation I've been loving this foundation this past week. I've been loving how it feels on the skin, it doesn't leave my skin looking caky, its by far my favourite foundation I've ever used.

Soap&Glory Body Wash since being at home I've been using body wash in the shower all the time, it leaves my skin feeling soft and smooth, doesn't leave my skin dry like other body bath.

The Fault In Our Stars is my favourite book that I've read so far, Since I've been traveling back and forward from university I wanted to get audiobook of TFIOS to make it easier for me to actually listen to rather than read while I'm on the go, loved this book its amazing and I can't wait to go see the film. If you haven't read the book then please do you will love it.

What have you been loving this week?

Fathers Day gift idea of Pinterest

As Father's Day is next weekend, I thought I'd do a couple of ideas that I've found on Pinterest. I'm the worst at buying my dad a present, I never know what to get him and when I do its always when I'm broke, I think the one time I got dad a good gift was last Father's Day when I got him tickets to have a tour of the stadium of Manchester United. But I thought I'd give you lovelies a help as to what you can get your Dads.

Image sources (link)
1. If your a crafty one you could do something like the picture above, its a cute simple present that has meaning behind it.

2. If your dads got a sweet tooth then this would be a perfect gift idea you can do for your dad. Find a jar big enough to fit all your dads favourite snacks, I guaranty they will love this gift.

3. This is such a nice meaningful craft idea you can do with your kids for their dads.

4. You can write you dad a nice latter, telling them how much you love them, and how much they mean to you, they will appreciate this gift because its coming from the heart.

5. If your dad is a massive sports fan, get them tickets to see their favourite sports for the day.

Hopefully this has helped you to give an idea of what you can get your dad, after being on Pinterest  I have some plans of what to get dad for Father's Day, one of the things is the Gift Basket with his favourite snacks as my dad has a massive sweet tooth.

Summer Goals

I wanted to set my self some 3 main goals for this summer since last summer I didn't actually go out as much as I wanted, mainly spent it working and at home. So I decided to change that and just have fun.

1. Go to Theme Parks, I haven't been to a theme park in so long that I need to go and have some fun.
2. Go visit more places in the Uk, I want to go to different cites for a day just to explore and actually say yeah I've been there.
3. Learn to drive, I want to drive to places without having to pay for a bus or train or wait till dads day off to go somewhere. I want to have that independence with driving any where you want.
4. Go away to different country for the weekend with the family, as we haven't been on a holiday since Christmas 2012.

Those are my top 4 goals I want to actually complete this and have one of a good Summer.

A Matte Caramel

This week for my nails I wanted to go for something matte and simple, since I wasn't going any where special this week I didn't really want to do much with my nails. I opted for a matte look.

I've been loving Barry M's matte nail varnishes, I've tried other brans who do matte nail varnish but they seem to always have some kinda of shimmer/gloss and I feel like Barry M are the only ones so far to actually have a matte finish.

The shade is Caramel from Barry M, I've only added two coats and its been 7 days and they still haven't chipped as quickly as I thought. The rings I'm wearing on the first image are from Select.

Makeup Haul

Over a couple of weeks ago I went out and bought some make up, I tend to always change my make up every two-three months or if I see a good deal I will tend to buy a few bits and bobs like this haul.

Maybelline Brow Drama in the shade Dark Brown - I have never used a brow mascara before so I wanted to go for an affordable price and so far this has worked for me, it doesn't last all day which is a shame, but it still works which is a bonus when your on a budget.

Maybelline EyeStudio Lasting Drama, Gel Eyeliner 24H in the shade Black - I've been wanting to get this for so long but I've always been scared to try gel eyeliner as I've always been used to having a eyeliner pen but since using this product I haven't got anything bad to say, it lasts all day, doesn't smudge which is a bonus.

Mac Matte Lipstick in the the shade Ruby Woo - Ever since watching Youtubers Pixiwoo, I always wanted to get my hands on this matte Ruby Woo Lipstick but every time I go buy it it'd be sold out, so I ended up giving up until I was browsing through mac store looking around and out of the blue they had it in stores so I had to get my hands on this, and so far its been one of my favourite lipstick from Mac. It lasts all day for me which is perfect cause I don't have to get the mirror out and keep applying it.

Mac Contouring Brush No.168. I've been looking for a new contouring brush for quiet some time now, and since I was in the Mac store I thought I'd get my hands on this Contouring Brush, its so soft. Im a big fan of mac makeup brushes, I've been using this every time I do my contouring.

Sleek Lipstick in the shade Mulberry. I was never a fan of the dark lipstick on myself, I always thought it'd never suit me, but I thought I just need to go and try and I've loved it so far, Defiantly will be wearing this a lot throughout summer.

Sleek Eyeshadow Palette in Au Naturel. I ended up buying this palette before but somehow I've lost it and I couldn't find it any where so I went and bought a new palette. I tend to use this palette more for nights out and occasion, I want to start making more of an effort with wearing eyeshadows.

Sleek Eyebrow Stylist in the shade Dark. Since my eyebrows are thick and don't really need much done to them, I needed something that was light for some shading on the eyebrows where its needed, I was testing this on my hand and I just had to get it, it so light, doesn't feel heavy and thick which is great.

Yves Saint Laurent Foundation in the shade BD50. This wasn't something I bought, my lovely got me it as an early birthday present since she need I was in need of a new foundation. So a couple days ago I run out of foundation and I've been in need one a new one, also a couple of weeks I go I walked around boots and ended up on Yves Saint Laurent counter, got tested for which shade I was but since I wasn't in need of a foundation then the women was so kind to give me a sample of the foundation for me to try and of course I ended up trying it for a week and I've fell in love with this foundation, works great for my skin, its not heavy its nice and light, you can build up the foundation if you need more coverage.

Have you got a new product you've been loving, please leave a comment and always looking for new things to try.

Casual Floral

Kimono - Miss Selfridge, Top - Topshop, Jeans - Topshop, Boots - Miss Selfridge, Rings - Select

At the moment I've been loving this Kimono its by far one of my favourite outfits I recently purchased. Wearing florals or something bright right when summer is around the corner, makes me excited to bring out the summer dresses, the shorts. Who else is excited for the Summer?
