17 Blemish Balm BB Cream - Review

I've been looking for a BB Cream for a while now, I was torn between the Seventeen, Garnier and Maybelline one but I ended up picking the Seventeen Blemish Balm BB Cream as it was the only one to have the skin tone for me while the Maybelline and Garnier was out of stock.

If you can cast your mind back to the end of 2011 17 launched their version of BB Creams, back then I didn't bother picking one up purely because back then BB Cream didn't really interest me in the slightest, BB Creams are still very much a hot topic still and 17 reformulated their original formula.
The original 17 Blemish BB Balm's came in two shades light and medium but the new formula comes in three shades light, medium and medium dark, I had to go for the dark medium as it was the only one in my skin tone. It has a thick texture yet light on the skin and not troublesome to oily skin types, it has a SPF of 25, but however it doesn't have a great coverage, when you first apply it you have high hopes as it is rather thick and seems promising yet once blended it pretty much disappears and tints the skin rather than offering decent coverage which is disappointed. It does leave the skin smooth.

It claims to minimise pores and help improve skin over four week period and control oil production. I've been wearing this for two weeks now and I can't say I have notice any improvements in my skin so far nor do my pores look minimised but it is still early days, that being said it doesn't seem to settle into my pores.
I will continue to apply this product for another 2 weeks to see if it improves my skin and report back.

Have you tried either version of this? What are your thoughts?

Family Day Out

Today is my gorgeous little niece 3rd birthday, can't believe how time flu by so fast I still remember when she was born. We sang happy birthday and open present before she had to go back to her mums this morning. The look on her face when she saw her presents and we all sang happy birthday was amazing, and she loved her Pepper Pig cake.

Cutting her cake all by her self (dw she was watched by grown ups)

My two gorgeous girls that I love.

After the girls left to go back to their mums, the family then decided to go to Milton Hill farm where you go to pick cherries, strawberry, apple and other fruits. We tend to go to different farms to get fruits and when we have nothing to do we like to just go and see what they have different. it gives us something to do. The family have been wanting to go cherry picking for weeks now but the farms that we've been to haven't had any until the Milton Hill one had some.

Here is some pictures from the cherry picking:

Uncle picking cherries.

Dad had to get the steps to reach the top of the tree for the better cherries

The only had to rows open for picking cherry but of course people crossed over where it was closed off and got the better cherries.

I must admit I'm not a huge fan of cherries but they do look so damn good.

Hope you all had a great weekend, would love to know what you've been doing this weekend

Birthday Weekend & Haul Part 2

This is the second part to the Birthday day & Haul, if you haven't seen or read it just click here.

On sunday I had a Birthday/Family BBQ which was great for the wear that we've been having this last couple of weeks, I invited some of my family over for the day and also a cousin of mine who's birthday was on the same day as mine, I like when the family gets together, we have so much laughs and talk about anything which we tend to have random conversation, most of the family got the chance to meet my cousins lovely girlfriend which was nice. We sang happy Birthday and ate a lot of food :)

here are some pictures from that day:

How awesome are this lego candles?

Home made birthday cake that me and mum made.

Me with uncles and also the birthday girl.

Now time for the presents part (I know you all have been waiting for it).

My cousin got me this lovely purse from Voyage Pylones. I've been want to get a new purse for a while now and wasn't expecting anyone to give me one.

I really like this purse/wallet its fits everything that I need in it which is a massive bonus.

My lovely mum gave me some makeup brushes that I've been wanting for a while now. She got me two Real techniques brushes by Samantha Chapman.

I got a Shading brush and Blush Brush

I use this brush more for contouring and to define my cheeks, and this brush is great for blending the contouring in.

I like to use this for putting on my eyeshadows but I've also been using it to blend in my concealer, I some times don't like to to use my fingers I use this to blend it all in.

Hope you guys enjoyed the post.

Birthday Day & Haul

This will be a post about my birthday week and hauls that I got for birthdays and presents, there will be 2 parts to this post so I don't make it too long for you all to read.

A week and half ago on Monday I turned 20 I had nothing big planned, I decided to go with my 2 close friends for a nice meal at Nandos and for some cocktails afterwards which was really nice as I didn't want to do anything big or much for my birthday as turning 20 isn't such a big deal for me. I had such a lovely day with the girls.
Here is some pictures from the night:

Top: Primark, Trousers: Topshop, Shoes: Primark

Cocktails time.

The girls decided to spoil me with dessert while having some cocktails.

On Tuesday I walked into the staff room at work and found a lovely bunch of flowers left for me from my lovely coworker for my birthday.

When it came to our break at work I wasn't aloud to go into the staff room cause they were planning a birthday surprise which was really funny and I didn't expect anything specially since I only started a month ago, but it was really nice the whole plan they had for me and it was also nice for them to sing happy birthday.

Since I received some birthday money from family I decided to have a browse through town and see if I saw anything I liked, I ended up in Primark, they had some really nice summer clothes and of course its cheap which is great when you don't feel like spending so much money.

I really like sheer tops/blouses specially for the summer when its really hot.

I wanted to try and wear more shorts and skirts this summer instead of leggings, trousers or jeans, and I feel like I need to try and wear something different and not worry about showing my legs (skinny legs that I hate) for a change.

This is the crop top I was wearing on my birthday outfit with a friend.

I've been loving monochromes, aztecs and black and white strips for a while now, I saw this nice tank top that has muscle armhole, which I'm really liking at the moment.

I had to have another crop top to my collection specially when its stripes.

Tomorrow I will be posting the 2nd part to this post for you all to have a look and read. Thanks for taking the time to read this and I hope you enjoyed.

Market Findings

After I finished work I decided to finally head to the market thats on every wednesday in Oxford City Centre,  the market sell everything food to clothes and house tools which is really good and its a place where you get things cheaper than what you would get at a store.
I came across this stool where they were selling hand made jewellery, I fell in love with all the rings they were selling which made it so hard for me to pick what I wanted, they were hand making the rings in front of me too which I thought was pretty cool.

I ended up picking between a gem ring and this nice pattern ring.

I will be going back to the market soon for sure to get some jewellery for my collection :)

30 Day Snap #30 - The last day of the month

Sorry for not posting yesterday had a few things to do around the house that didn't give me any time to post anything.

My dad wanted to use the computer for work and all the laptops was in use that I ended up lending dad my MacBook, it was his first time using a MacBook. I had to teach him how to use it since its different to a normal laptop, it was so funny seeing his reactions trying to work the Mac.

So happy that I did manage to complete the snap challenge even though I missed days from being ill. Glad it's over with as I don't have to keep in mind that I have to take a single picture to represent that day, but it was a great experience to try.

It was really nice to have a look at people's snaps and knowing that quite a lot of people joined is really good.
Hope you all enjoyed the 30 day snap challenge.

Have a wonderful week a head guys ❤
